EPI Scholarship Program Numbers Grow

Encompassing three universities that span the country from north to south, the EPI family has grown to 137 continuing students and 268 graduates.

Each of the universities with whom EPI partners emphasizes areas of Ghana’s needs:

• Founded in 1948, The University of Ghana, Legon is the largest university in the country. Its mission is to provide relevant training for national and global development through cutting-edge research and high-quality teaching and learning.
• Founded in 1952, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi acts as a center of excellence in Africa for research, the teaching of science and technology, and industrial and socio-economic development for Ghana, Africa and other nations in the world.
• Founded in 1992, the University of Development Studies is a multi-campus institution with the principal objective of addressing the environmental and socio-economic issues that characterize northern Ghana and other rural areas in the country. It also conducts basic, applied and policy-oriented demand driven commissioned research and scholarship to further its work in these areas.
